Is anyone else going to this event? It's in Liverpool. I just applied for a bursary today here and got a reply within an hour saying I'd been accepted. They still have several places left. It reduces the Parents/ADDers/students price from £180 to £60.

I've just applied Not sure I'll be accepted though cos don't get benefits except for tax credits.... If it gets refused not sure if I'll be disappointed or relieved - bit of a scary thought to go Also really expensive for travel etc even if they paid me... But thought would apply and see what they said before started worrying about other stuff Thanks Kathymel xxxxx

What benefits are you currently in receipt of?
1. Occasional sunshine 2. Good food 3. Unyielding desire to explore
On a serious note, that's an impressive speaker list? I think?
However, this is on for three days? Which makes the cheapest non-bursary non-member price 180 x 3 = £540?
I must have got that wrong, yes? It looks very interesting but is this taking the piss a bit?! ;/
COME ALL YE ADHD FOLK - BRING THY MONIES AND WE WILL HELP YOU CRAFT WONDERFUL LIVES.
"We have reserved some rooms at the Adelphi Hotel. Please book direct with the Hotel and ask for the conference rate." = LOL

Hopefully, the Tax Credits will be enough, JJ. Jan, I wasn't sure about the travel and accommodation bits, either. It might mean that if you're paying, they'll help out or it might mean that you're happy to and don't need any help. I put I was paying myself. Michael, £180 is for all three days. I'll be staying with my friend on the Wirral. She is the most accommodating person I know and I'm happy to ask if other people can stay. Fingers crossed some of you can come!

think got pay for accommodation yourself cos I text her other day and she said could have bursary if sorted out my travel and room - its not clear though is it. and isn't first day more for people new to add? so don't need to go for that ? or am I getting that wrong? (as usual - brain is very tiered today - being attacked on triple front - add, hormones and SAD - ooooo to be fuckin normal would be soooo lovely - think i'l go to mars with whatshisface in the news )

Just got accepted for the bursary - so have a place too !! OMG - fear setting in already Would be so fab to meet up with you all tho Need to check with my dad and ex re child care stuff, look into travel /accommodation costs etc - offer re yr friend sounds tempting if she's willing - where is the Wirral ? Jan, if I drove, maybe we could go together and share the petrol? Using my mum's 7 seater while she's away, so plenty room... Agree first day doesn't sound as relevant as the others - and is extra day of child care arrangements and accommodation, so I'm thinking to miss that anyway... Head everywhere at moment, need to get straight, just posting quickly cos email just arrived xxx

I forgot to what? I asked my friend if she is happy to put people up. She said, 'Of course!' The wirral is right next to Liverpool so it's easy to get there and, with my friend with us, we're less likely to get lost.

That's so good of her kathymel - thanks for sorting it and thank her - we must get her something - wine?
Jan - no idea at mom what petrol would be - will def be less than 4 train fares tho.... Guess without thinking about £100 maybe? Might be more, unlikely to be less....
Do you think missing 1st day?
Still trying to work out children logistics though - haven't paid for ticket yet - will let you know when I do xxx

My friend just realised she's in Paris that weekend, but is very happy for us to stay in her house, anyway. The only difference really is that we are more likely to get lost trying to find the venue.

I'm thinking, this is an ADHD conference, right? They'll have spotlights and big arrows and klaxons to guide people in, right?

Michael, £180 is for all three days. Ah, that's a bit more palatable. I was obviously in a heightened state of whinge this morning. My apologies

I'm thinking, this is an ADHD conference, right? They'll have spotlights and big arrows and klaxons to guide people in, right? I was kind of hoping they'd also organised specialist teams / vans to cover a 10 mile radius herding up people looking stressed / lost / confused.... Had already made a start on a "help me, I have adhd" banner so we get spotted quicker
