jj sending you huge , huge hugs and kisses and when you come and pick us up you will have to get out that big o'l 7 seater so i can do it for real course you can have the single room - don't worry about anything - everythings going to be fine we are all really nice, caring people - you included - and we are all friends - even if its only been through the computer - we've spent months listening to each other giving support and encouragement - a lot of the time to strangers - as people don't always hang around do they - in a very caring and sensitive way - and none of us are the kind of people that would ever hurt anyone intentionally are we - i know its hard but time to chill and try not to worry anymore and i'l make you tea in bed in the morning (and even leave it outside the door on landing if you want me to ) and when we get to the confrence we can stick together - like glue - if that will make you feel better ok xx night babe xx

I can't see an NCP car park near the hotel on the NCP page and I can only find info on the hotel's own parking on the hotel site. Where'd you find it, JJ? And yes, of course you can have a room to yourself. I don't mind where I sleep.

The post code is L3 5TB. Mount Pleasant Car Park

Conference Dinner and Entertainment ADHD’s Got Talent Dear Conference delegates and speakers Bookings are going really well(all a last minute rush as usual) and I am pleased to say that so many people are going to be benefitting from listening to a line up of incredible speakers. The delegates have come from all over the UK and Europe. I would like to update you with some information. On the evening of Friday 11th October we have arranged a buffet dinner followed by an incredible night of talent, music, comedy, poetry and a display of skills performed by a small group of children with ADHD who want to come and share their talents. DO YOU HAVE A TALENT this is an evening when you the delegates can get on stage and perform. If you wish to be part of the line of participants please email me or call me and we will put you on the list. We will end the evening with music and dancing if you feel so inclined. This event will be hosted by Kevin Roberst and local celebrity Eithne Brown, some of you may remember from the Channel 4 series Brookside. Apart from being an actress she is a comedienne and all round fun entertainer. This is a wonderful opportunity to catch up with new friends and unwind after a very intense day. If you would like to attend the dinner we will need you to book this as soon as possible. The cost is £15 per head. Please do not leave this to the last minute. We need to have your bookings in by Monday at the latest or it will be too late for the hotel to prepare this banquet for us and we will have to cancel it. If you have booked yourself into the hotel on a dinner bed and breakfast basis your meal at the dinner will be covered by that, you just need to let us know. How to book you can go to the website and purchase your tickets www.addiss.co.uk/addconference/call-for-papers/ you do not need a paypal account. Just go through to the checkout and you can pay with your credit card You can email me your booking request and pay when you arrive at the registration desk you can telephone 02089521515 and purchase your tickets over the phone with a credit card Please please please do this now! Looking forward to seeing you all at another wonderful ADDISS conference

This was the email. What are you all doing then? Had missed this whole discussion....
Kathy - is it easy to get to the conference by train or whatever from yr friend's house? (Asking cos if we go out in the evening, I'd rather have some wine as opposed to driving)
I'm happy to go along with what everyone else is doing

Sometimes conference's allow people to tape the speakers. Have been to an Addiss conference before and there's a huge amount to take in, so listening to it afterwards can be useful?

I was wondering if that would be allowed (and how many hours audio my ipod can store). I guess we would need to get permission on a talk by talk basis.

I'm not used to thinking in terms of public transport, but there are good connections - Wirral Line Timetable This train could get us there in time for registration: And this one is the last one home, so lots of time for being social if we want: The off-peak 'Saveaway' fare is £4.80 but, unless we can do all the registration on the Thursday morning, we may need to get a peak-time train and I can't find the cost for that. Completely with you on the preference for wine drinking.

I got some insight over the weekend into how stressful it is organising an event for ADHDers. One of the organisers posted this on Saturday night. OMG five online bookings just came through in the last hour.next year I am going to have to get a grant to pay a team of people. Three weeks ago I thought we might have to cancel this conference and now we have more people than last year. This is madness but so so exciting. I even have people coming from the USA as delegates. My head really hurts now. The hotel is full!Last night she posted that she was finally getting to bed after 40 hours straight. And there was us wondering if we might have left it too late to book some things.
