It's a mutation that occurred in Europe which doesn't appear to have any advantage/disadvantage whatsoever - no light passes through the coloured portion of your eye.
Perception?
A completely different kettle of piscine life forms.

If `I remember rightly they can be traced back to the black sea.. which considering there are a lot of scandinavians with blue eyes they must have moved around a lot
Do you have blue eyes?

...and there's our 'fat' gene accounted for. Tyrosine; the root of all ADHD issues? Norepinephrine is converted from dopamine too. Could it really all be explained by poor/non-conversion of phenylalanine or tyrosine...? As you'd expect, there's a condition that describes one instance: Phenylketonuria en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phenylketonuria - it was the mention of mental retardation which lead to me this and then to this: adhd-treatment-options.blogspot.co.uk/2009/04/phenylketonuria-pku-or-adhd.htmlSummary: If you've got PKU you'd know about it. Typified by fairly severe early years development and subsequently low IQ. However, the author also says: It is possible that individuals in this potentially vulnerable intermediate state of enzyme deficiency may be more susceptible to disorders such as ADHD.Which makes sense. There's a scale for everything, y0? Anyway. I'm not suggesting anyone has PKU but considering poor dopamine function has always been implicated as the root of ADHD issues and dopamine starts with the essential amino acid (essential as in the body does not produce it natively) phenylalanine, it might warrant further investigation.
