....new research, using MRC's, has shown significantly lower levels of iron in brains of unmedicated ADHD kids versus NT kids .....when they looked at medicated kids' brains there was much less difference to controls. Going off at a tangent... ..... Alzheimer's now thought to be same disease as type 2 diabetes....the former being the later stages thereof we live in exciting times re knowledge of the brain

New Scientists article linking Alzheimers to Type 2 Diabetes hereWorrying from my family perspective because my brother has T2D As for iron deficiency, I puzzled my GP a few years ago with iron deficient anaemia - apparently, no matter how I change my diet, I'm always anaemic: Perhaps there's an adult link too to ADHD?

I've suspected malabsorption of nutrients for a while. Tea etc inhibits iron uptake apparently. I don't often get ill. I seem to need more drugs than most for less effect too.
I believe the small intestine is responsible for absorption and most of the immune system lives in the large?
I am due to pick up my PLP supplement today...

No, it's not working for me either. Don't know why not.
But if I Google the title - Brain Imaging May Help to Confirm ADHD - that finds me a link that does work.
