Just wanted to say I'm still floating about but life is so bad at the mo I struggle to even write on here. I am still reading though.
I am just about worn down to the bone with fighting three different NHS departments who are all passing the buck. I have a psycho-social team who are doing nothing. I rang them last monday to say I'd been kicked out of home and had slept on the street, and that I was worried I might do something stupid out of despair, and a week later they still haven't even rung me back!!! Fucking good crisis support they are providing. Unfortunately my gp thinks they are my care providers so wont get involved.
So what with this battle, a big risk of homelessness (I am back home but its hell), and Pluss trying to force me into work when I cant even motivate myself to eat I am sinking fast.
If anyone is round bristol way and could do a coffee I could really do with a friendly face

i'm sorry that it's all so hard for you just now. i hope it passes soon, even tho it may not seem possible in the moment. sometimes the secret is the holding on, and the finding someone who can help move things forward. do you have a good gp? maybe worth getting an appointment as soon as you can and going along simply to set out the situation and ask for help. if the help you are supposed to be able to access isn't there, then something else needs to be and the gp is usually the first port of call and can act as health advocate, chase the psych team on your behalf etc. i wish i were closer and could help. do you have any contact details for people in the bristol adhd support group... i think i remember that you went to a meeting quite recently and got on well....? if it helps at all do keep posting donkeykebab - we're with you in spirit. contrarym x

Hi there
Sorry to hear about your current situation.
I know you had some problems getting on to the waiting list for the Bristol clinic - has that actually happened yet and do you know how long the wait is? The waiting is awful, but hope you can see some light at the end of the tunnel.

Wish I was nearer to Bristol and free to have that coffee and give you support mate. Just had a bad few days myself so can empathise.
Regarding the care you're getting or not, this seems to be just as symptomatic of a stretched system as anything. But as someone has stated earlier, it might be a good idea to contact your local ADHD support group?
I do think as a society/country, we really have to think out of the box when it comes to MH care in the UK given how stretched we're told everything is financially.
Keep logging in and writing if you feel up to it. Let us know you're okay.

an MH Advocate, I have PALS on my side (though I am going to have to drop them since lodging CCG complaint or I will fall foul of the 'vexatious complaint' clause by utilising to many group resources. Yes folks, here is my bedtime reading -
FUCK THIS BOARD... I AM TIRED OF RE-TYPING COS THE BOARD FUCKS UP MY POSTS, I CAN ONLY EDIT SO MANY TIMES
Proboards hates Android
Please Mods, find a board that doesn't delete what you've just spent half an hour typing. It's not helpful to people with stamina issues

It said I'm amazed how many phone calls and appointments I'm getting since I raised a complaint to CCG level. I have also found a mental health advocate to support me through the process.

It's a shame it has had to come to that, but very glad things seem to be rolling now
