Here's a fantastic watch designed for blind people bbc.in/1heDxsW . Now what would we need? I think a localised taser that goes off every 10 minutes with a series of vocalised warnings, "Stop procrastinating", "get back to work", "keep on track"

Anyone else hate wearing a watch? I've never been able to, the feeling of it on my wrist drives me mad.
I just bought my daughter - who can't tell the time - a watch. So handy while we were on holiday, might have to take her out of nursery and start bringing her everywhere.

can't wear anything unless it's so comfortable it's as tho i'm not wearing anything. had a really cool watch a few years ago which was light and on an elasticated band - i was constantly surprised to find the time on the end of my wrist (it broke and they don't make them any more )

My watch is: Shock proof Waterproof Dustproof Solar powered Remotely updated everyday (by what i can only assume is magic) so it is astoundingly accurate It even has a night light that comes on automatically when i tilt it toward my face to look at it
...none of which stops me losing it as soon as i take it off though!

You lot have given me flashbacks again. I had so many tantrums as a kid, I just couldn't tolerate anything artificial touching me be they watches, pendants, clothing labels, things generally sticking in.
I remember when Dad gave me one of those LED watches for Christmas and I just chucked it at the sofa in rage. Couldn't stand the thing against my skin. Poor bloke was only trying to make me happy! Never was material stuff for me though I come to realise.
I've got a bit better - although clothing labels are a major no-no

On the theme of intolerable things.
That fabric that's started appearing that catches on your skin like they were both made of Velcro. They use it for lining the inside of outdoory type trousers, amongst other things.
Polysterene packaging, the hiss it makes when you touch it and the squeak it makes as you pull it out of a tight fitting box. Conversely, biting a polystyrene cup is lovely.
Anyone else?
