Have you been keeping an eye on your blood pressure and ensuring that you drink plenty of water?
I noticed that my increased activity after starting on Concerta meant that I was using up more fluids than I did before-hand (my body used to be locked into conservation mode because I didn't eat/drink particularly healthily).
How does the dizziness occur? are there any common situations/activities/time of day etc. that it happens?

I drink plenty of water and have been trying to eat better over the last few days but it doesn't seem to make much difference. I'm dizzy most of the time apart from when I am sitting. Spoke to my GP about it yesterday but he didn't seem too concerned.

You're diastolic reading is pretty low, and to be honest I don't know how fit you are, but the systolic reading seems a bit variable.
I used to be 120/80 +/- 10% and Pulse65 at rest, and on Concerta XL it has been up around 140/90 and Pulse 75 at rest.
I have noticed that I have become sensitive to too much salt, i.e. processed foods or junk etc. which can increase my BP, I'm not sure anything lowers by BP in the short term.
Do you have a record of your usual BP/Pulse before you were taking Concerta XL? Did your GP say why he wasn't concerned?
I've often found that I get dizzy spells if I have been feeling stressed out, and the usual one of standing up too quickly etc.

I am always having dizzy spells when I stand up, when I was younger I would often find myself nearly have a blackout when I got up off the toilet, so I would lie on the floor for a minute and wait for it to pass.
It's not so bad now, when it happens I just cover my eyes and stand still and it passes. I've asked my GP loads of times about it, but the answer is always the same, nothing to worry about, just keep hydrated, but that only seems to make it worse.
I have tried taking tyrosine, which is nothing compared to concerta, it does seem to help, but like you, it made me dizzy nearly all the time I was standing. I measured my blood pressure one day at about 90/60 so thought it was not a good idea to continue, although I did have a couple yesterday as it was going to be a super stressful day.
It's not just the blood pressure, when I tried them yesterday, when I was feeling very anxious, heart beating my my chest, bp had shot up to 154/79 but I still felt dizzy. I think it is the lack of glucose that makes me feel dizzy, so you might want to try eating some sugary snacks and see if the helps, but if it continues you should definitely get checked out for other possible medical condition.

Good point chrispy - not only sugar crash but carbohydrate crash can effect you as well. I get super sleepy right after eating carbs now. As for the standing up and feeling dizzy, just do it more slowly so your heart can adjust properly and not starve your brain of oxygen for a few seconds

No, I have no idea what it was before Concerta and my doctor didn't say why he wasn't concerned. I have just found the following chart which tells me my BP is ideal www.bloodpressureuk.org/BloodPressureandyou/Thebasics/Bloodpressurechart

I usually eat tons of chocolate and sweet stuff but haven't felt like it since I started Concerta. I'll give it a go and see if it helps.

Anyone on concerta got a sensation of feeling lightheaded and weak as if you might pass out? Hi scatterbrain I know how you feel, i have been light headed ever since i started Concerta, Though i must admit that the dizziness is worth it. It normally happened for the first couple of days. I actually can't remember when i started them, these good people on will probably know but i know it's only been a few months. I have palpitations all the time and think i'm going die. they pass easily now and i also see the benefits of taking them though the nights are truly horrible but i also know how old i am and that i have been through many many more worse instances, so i would say keep taking them. i don't really enjoy the dizziness but once i am up and about i see that it wears off a little and i suppose i just get on with things with a smile on my face which makes a change I really haven't felt myself since taking them though but that's not a bad thing considering my previous me. Good luck Scatterbrain
