ADHD is like masturbation apparently.
Well, the Daily Mail is welcome to go fuck itself, any time it likes.

ADHD is like masturbation apparently. Well, the Daily Mail is welcome to go fuck itself, any time it likes. The trouble is they and their colleagues over at Planet Rag do a good job at screwing over all and sundry at every opportunity. What they don't want is an excuse for unwanted behaviours impinging on their modus operandi - so ADHD is bound to get it in the neck. The worst victims are schizophrenics who are named and shamed at every opportunity. They just spread fear, resentment and discord at every opportunity and the masses lap it up.

Holy Shit! That Daily Fail article looked just like something you could read on the The Onion !! I also noted the extensive use of 'they said' when referring to unnamed 'experts' etc. blah blah. I decided to look up some of the authors other articles and this one stood out.. "Modern hand dryers are 'much worse' at spreading germs around a room than paper towels, study claims " What, as they say, the fuck? Aren't you supposed to have CLEANED your hands before using a dryer? Perhaps where she comes from they dip their hands in cat diarrhea before using the hand-dryer to spread it around the toilet

I can't stand the constant use of stock photos with children pulling faces in these articles, even the more sympathetic ones.

if you guys are going to read a paper that was first set up by nazi brownshirts then expect to be upset at their fascism. It's not about being upset by a rag, it's about fighting the influence it has on people. There's no point saying, "oh well it's only the Daily Mail just ignore it", because its views have influence on its readership and government. The recent DoH's implied rejection of ADHD scandal shows us this. The reason I highlight negativity against ADHD, is so we're aware of it and can fight it accordingly. I don't take meds since diagnosis because I believe we have to do something about the differences in physical architecture that technological developments in neuropathology and research, like "mind mapping" and "brain reverse engineering" are bringing to the table of understanding. I don't just want to mask over the symptoms of my condition with drugs, I want to find out what the hell's going on in my brain's physical structure that brings about the symptoms we all suffer from. IMO, the more our detractors and attackers harp on about Big Pharma and DSM "conspiracies", the more we need to push ahead with research and development into understanding the physical structures of the brain and the differences that clearly exist in those with various disorders like schizophrenia, autism and ADHD. On that score, and if we lead people to these developments and highlight the physical differences that lead to behavioural issues, then we start winning the argument every time and are more likely to secure funding for further research.
