Hi there. I'm a new member living in Edinburgh. I'm a 36 y.o. graduate student who just can't make any progress on his Ph.D. dissertation. I've just come around to the idea that I might have ADD. I've been reading the book Driven to Distraction, and a lot of it seems familiar.
Mark me down as a definite maybe for the Oct 31st meeting or if not then, then a later one. Of course I'd have to get myself over to Glasgow but it would probably be worth it.
Nathan

If you do join us that will make 4 definites. And I do believe it will be beneficial for you. Its good having the chance to talk to similar people, get some good information and see how others are overcoming their problems. Im 28 myself, Danny is slightly younger 25 or so and we have another new member going to join us as well who is 34 I think (cant remember lol). Im sure we will along get along well and be able to offer each other some support. Im looking forward to meeting you Nathan.

Should probably mention that there wont be a meeting in December, we are probably going to schedule the next one for the middle of January. I will have a ponder and organise something

I think that meeting for the middle of January is probably a bad idea due to the weather. I cant even get a train in my town at present and even the tractors are struggling. We will see how the weather progresses and I will try organise something as soon as movement can commence.

Hi Guys A very big thank you to Madscot for providing the drive and organising the meetings in Glasgow. Steven has dropped out of circulation somewhat - a job move to China means that he still has commitment, but no resources to run the support group. Therefore I have agreed to pick up the reins for the time being. Keep checking the website at: sites.google.com/site/scottishadhdadultsorgfor updates on meetings etc. and you can still e-mail to scottishadhd@googlemail.com I will get round to replying over the next few days and updating the website. The next meeting will be in Edinburgh on Sunday 11th April at 14:30 (venue to be advised). We already have 3 attendees, but would like to see many more. I will propably pick a coffee shop off Lothian Road or George Street, but it will be hard to find somewhere as good as Costa, Sauchiehall Street. (Madscot you chose well!). We will still keep the same format ie - friendly, confidential, unjudgemental and lots of understanding. So do please turn up if you can; you will be supprised how refreshing it is to meet like minded people. ADD can make you feel very isolated at times, but I don't need to tell you that, I am sure you realise this already. I will post the venue info soon. R

I'm a bit confused; is madscot moving to China? Or do I need to up the dosage of my meds? ;D
Anyway, good luck with the meeting in Edinburgh, and I wish I could come, but it's a long commute from Bristol!

China was what he said, should be on his way now. Makes in a bit difficult to run a support group in Glasgow, but I am hoping we will still see some posts from him. Boo posts from La La land so China is not so far.
