Does anyone else do it? Is it one of our head mental things?
I destroy pens within about 5 minutes of having one in my hand. I get so in to it sometimes that I lose myself and suddenly I hear a massive *crack!* and everyone in the meeting room's looking at me whilst I couldn't look more mental, with a smashed up pen hanging out of my mouth and a maniacal look in my eyes.
Just me?

I break a lot of pens by repeatedly unscrewing and screwing back in the end.

Same but I do both,or twiddle (is that even a word? lol) it in my fingers or annoy people by clicking a clicky pen! Although I usually don't destroy them that quickly because I switch between the behaviors.

At primary school I chewed my pencils right down. I was always being told off for it. I remember struggling to write with about an inch of pencil for as long as I possible ... too scared and avoiding the inevitable - asking the teacher for a new one. (We had to hand in the old pencil before she would hand out a new one.) But obviously if you chew long enough you get to a point where there's too little pencil to write or sharpen!
I don't chew pen ends now in case someone else has already had chew before me!

I can tell if I've forgotten my meds because I feel the need to chew on something fairly resistant.
