Does anyone else which they didn't exist? I say this, not because I'm suicidal, but because I wish I simply wasn't here. Is that normal?

hmm, well my personal opinion is that it isn't normal. However, i have no health qualifications so my opinion is merely worth nothing. I would look into going to see your GP though?

Your not alone with that. It happens to me too, especially when i go through one of my depression cycles. Some of the things i have done (or failed to do) make me wish the very same thing.

I agree, when I'm in a depression I absolutely wish I was never born or could freeze time or just that I could cease to exist at the click of my fingers. Even when I'm not depressed there are times when I think that way but it's usually because I want to avoid whatever is impending in my life due to not feeling able to do what is needed (uni deadlines for example) rather than because I want to die.

Existence is absurdity at its finest. It comes with its horror, turmoil, and despair. It wrenches us from our comfort zone and toys with us like a rag doll. But it shows us a glimpse of the cosmos. It gives us an identity, whatever that means. It can shake us to the core, but it is all we have and all we are. It keeps us for such a fleeting moment before returning us to the flow around us, once again becoming part of the ebbing energy that makes up the universe. Might as well live with it, capitulate to its tyranny, and see where it takes us.

Yeah! Had those thoughts big time during the depressive years. But nowadays I just wish I was different. Not completely different just a better version of me, one without all the flaws!
I probably spend to much time day dreaming about better versions of me.

I've felt like this before. Never considered myself to be depressed though. Simply I get so overwhelmed that I feel like I can't cope, or I get sick of all my mistakes and screw-ups, and it makes me wish I didn't exist. I think its pretty normal, and guess okay since you're not suicidal or wanting to hurt yourself. But that's just my opinion, not a diagnosis or anything.

Yes I wish I didn't exist, and no it's not normal according to my experience. I've had quite a few conversations on topics like this and I do find that few people wish they different exist, including people with disabilities that severely affect their quality of life.
How long (in years) and how often do you have these thoughts? It's probably normal to have them everyone so often eg a few times a year or when ur going through a bad patch, but if they are distressing you or if these thoughts are more common than the above then I definitely think you should look into it.
I think not wanting to exist is a separate thing that you should perhaps look into in its own right. This could include psychotherapy and or reading existentialist philosophy. I think not wanting to exist is a little too close for comfort to things like depression and suicidality (possibly similar neural mechanisms) and therefore it may be in your interests to nip it in the bud.
That's just my two cents - I don't want to overly influence you in any way.

On several occasions, yes. Don't want to get into a personal appraisal or debate about why, but I often find life a real irritant in the way of peace.
