I was sent a questionnaire by my ADHD clinic, regarding the effectiveness of the treatment I am receiving from them... Thay ask about my ADHD symptoms, and then give me a long winded and boring questionnaire to complete! Including the question
"There are 6 aspects of life (Physical health, Psychological health, Spiritual/religion/personal beliefs, Level of independence, Environment (e.g., work, home), and Social relationship). Please rank them below in order of how important they are to you (1st =MOST important, 6th =LEAST important)."
Don't we have trouble prioritising? Isn't that something they TEST for?? I don't even know! They're all equally important depending on what's happening, where I am, how I'm feeling...
Surely if anyone was going to understand how to write an effective questionnaire for ADHDers, it would be an ADHD clinic?!

. . . "Now please rank them in order of how much you struggle with them (1st =struggle MOST , 6th =struggle LEAST)."

I hate questionnaires... they tie you down to a few options and you have to select one option when really you want to circle them all or choose a point somewhere between two.
Online questionnaires are the worst because you can't annotate them with rude comments about the idiocy of particular questions.
Our Union distributed a questionnaire at work few months ago about proposed changes. One question, the most important one, was so poorly worded that you weren't sure whether you were voting for or against! I wrote so next to the question and asked 'what is the chuffing point of filling this in???'

Every survey should have a box for "Well, it depends..."

easilydistracted exactly! I took a quiz earlier and it said 'fight or flight?' And that was it... Well it rather depends on the situation. If a dog was chasing me and trying to chew my foot off I'd probably have a damn good go and booting it with the other foot. If Godzilla was stomping around I'd probably run away!

Why set a questionnaire to a set group that is skilled at not completing tasks they don't desire to do deeply lol. Any given day would have different results depending on one's overall mood that day.
