A lot of interesting things to consider manson88. My wife and I have been slowly simplifying our lives for a few years now and although it is quite difficult it is also very helpful. We have given away several car loads of stuff to various charities. While we both work at a very high level and our work is very much part of who we are, we have also been shifting emphasis a bit more towards relaxation. This Friday I will finally start with a course on Mindfulness through my psychiatrist and as such it is tailored to my ADHD. I expect it will help me make another very important step in the process of simplifying my life and simply be content more often. There is a very small chance that my wife might get an offer from Australia and we have already decided that if it comes and we decide to make the leap into the unknown by moving there, that we will also use it as a fresh start. We will then adopt a more leisure-oriented lifestyle. We can still work hard, but will also let go of a lot of stuff we're still stuck with. If it doesn't happen, then we will try and force it some other way. I think my biggest dream at the moment is to find a balance between working hard, which I love, and really enjoying my time off from work. To me it seems that such a dream should be perfectly possible to realise.

It's difficult place to stay but it's also difficult to move forward. I'm also looking at a big life time change and also trying to minimise things in such a way that life is less stressful for me.

Well funny I'm at a cross roads in my own life were I'm about to make a decision for me... It's difficult place to stay but it's also difficult to move forward. I'm also looking at a big life time change and also trying to minimise things in such a way that life is less stressful for me. It can be quite daunting to make a big change, but it is also very refreshing and gives new inspiration. Minimising things can be a great way to give yourself a better overview and make it feel like less of a challenge. It can give you confidence in your own ability to manage it. Deep down inside I usually feel when I need a significant change in my life. When things just don't feel quite right, staying put is never a good idea. That would just create a sort of lingering stress that goes bone deep. Better to get a bit of a shock to wake up and get a new fresh direction.
