Hmmm, tech is often a problem more than anything else! No better thing than someone with ADHD to lose themself in. Get online reading something, few hours later have about 10 things your reading while trying to perform 10 tasks at once.
In some ways tech *is* the problem. Things like a walk in nature are probably better than any tech solution I'm aware of...
Be good to know if someone has found a way to use tech to help them with ADHD though!

I had a "foodclock" for 2 years on my phone so that I no longer forget to eat at least once every day. It worked very well, might look into getting a new one.

When I was at Uni I used to use an app on my PC called coldturkey, which was meant to stop procrastination.
Basically you enter into it the websites you're likely to use to procrastinate, and set a clock for however long you feel you can survive for. The app then stops you accessing the sites, and if you try to cancel the app it spams your screen with sarcastically toned alerts etc lol. I found it pretty funny, though it didn't stop me getting distracted by non-virtual things.

I use the reminders app on my iPhone to put down anything that i need to do, you can check things off as and when they're completed! I also set alarms to remind me to take my medication!

I know this thread hasn't been posted in for a while but I find a couple of websites super useful so maybe they will help other people too.
I use a site called Habitica and their mobile app HabitRPG to help manage my daily tasks and good and bad habits. It's a sort of gamify your life thing.
You get a little avatar of your character and you gain exp for completing tasks and good habits and lose health for bad habits and not doing your dailies. As you level up you get pets and can choose classes and stuff. Its kinda fun but also good for staying organised.
I was honestly really skeptical of it at first and was a little worried that it might put extra pressure or stress on me for not completing things but I've found it incredibly helpful and I've only been using it for a couple of weeks. Aparantly you can party up and fight bosses and stuff but the only other person using it that I know is my fiance and I'm bad when it comes to interacting with people I don't know in a kind of online gaming context even if habitica isn't exactly that.
I also use a website called anydo to keep track of my long term goals and the bigger picture. I have a tendency to set a long term goal and then get distracted by lots of little things so I don't meet the interim goals or the big one. I have the motivation and drive but not the attention span. Anydo is kind of todo list-y and I find checking in on it and updating it now and then helps me better quanitify how much I've got to do or sort out before I meet my next target.
Once again I've not been using it for a very long time, mainly because I've kind of stagnated when it comes to my life but I have aims and things now so I'm finding it quite helpful.
I'm not sure if anyone else will find these useful but they are really helping me so I thought I'd post about them just in case.

It's actually quite funny how you brought these two things up because I've been using a sort of gaming-style todo list app called Quest. You destroy monsters and earn gems by checking off items, which you can then use to buy power-ups. It's pretty retro. The habit builder/breaker you've just mentioned looks great too - gonna check it out now .

Honestly the app is good but I found it better to set it up initially on the website. That said I am using a third party app so I can get it on my windows phone. They have official apps for ios and I think android too but the third party apps have a lot of support and there is a wikia for Habitica in general. Anydo doesn't have an app unfortunately, at least as far as I am aware. I'm just glad other people might get some help from it

The trouble is we need apps to use the apps to help us use the apps...
I use easynote, but then I forget to use it for my 'pre flight checks' (wallet, keys, phone, etc).
Even notes pinned to doors quickly become invisible.
The only thing that remotely works for me is a box near my front door that keeps my keys wallet and other stuff in it. Plus keeping bags to my outside so if I forget them I remember when i go flying over them.
Actually, I've been thinking if the following to keep us fixed 'in time and space' and this is simply setting my phone to go off on the hour every waking hour, just to bring me back.
A kind of tether, if you like. I let you know how I get on. Try it with me, and let's see I it works.

I tried one of those apps. . .for a day and a half. . .it kept reminding me of things, then I started to tick off things that I hadn't done, just to shut it up!!
I don't need another thing to randomly swear at when I'm out in public!
So deleted it and back to the diary, whiteboard, launchpad, pocket-system, a few extra random lists and alarms and phone calendar alerts and bag system and . . . ..

I can't remember what the game/ap was called off the top of my head. It worked brilliantly for a while, but then you had to start adding more and more things to get the points to get to the next level and it started taking over my life. I ended up putting EVERYTHING on it, divided into steps to try to earn enough points and it got so boring in the end.
It was fab while it worked, though. I got all manner of daily chores done. The dog even got walked. And fed.

I've been using the Habitica app for about 6 days now.
I got a reminder email yesterday because I hadn't accessed it in too long.
Guess who keeps forgetting to check things off the lists? Yeah, this gal.
*sigh*
