Katherine Thomas, from Bristol University, is looking for participants for research into what it is like to live with, and be diagnosed with 'ADHD' and the strategies and interventions that have been effective in managing it.
The research will be person centered and the focus is on the perspective and world view of the interviewee. It will consist of short semi-structured interviews. Katherine is working with Dr Paul Howard Jones who is linking current developments in neuroscience to people with ADHD's experiential perspective. He is also developing interventions which can be used in schools.
She will be attending the next Bristol Support Group meeting in Bristol on 1st June to meet members of the ADHD support group, explain more about the research, and recruit participants.
If anyone is interested in taking part or has any questions or information for Katherine please pm or email me.

Hello, I am no where near Bristol and I have not been diagnosed yet but I would be interested in participating in anything like this. My wife of five years may have some interesting thoughts too as she puts up with me and has raised an ADHD daughter for the last sixteen years.

Hi Roland
I am interested. I got Katherine's email address off the Bristol support group, emailed her expressing my interest last week but I haven't heard back yet. If you are in contact with her, please let her know or PM me.

Add me to your list for this - i am still waiting the full report from Bristol CLinic (Bolea) as did 3 hrs testing 2.5 weeks ago. HAd a call yesterday saying that results early signs show high IQ and very low working memory but she will look to book me back in with Dr Bolea to review and see what we do next as currently have no meds as binned Concerta due to side effects. I am flying solo and work are noticing! Need help now but have nothing.
I notice my adhd more and more and relasing how bad it can be...

Hi guys, Got an update on this: Katherine is doing this research in the form of face-to-face short interviews so I'm afraid that it's only available for people in Bristol and surrounding areas. Katherine does need a few more participants so for those who do live in Bristol and the surrounding areas Katherine can be contacted at kt8747@bristol.ac.uk. So many apologies to enigma, marvellousmatt, and lizphys
