Hi there.
I've got myself into quite a bit of trouble over various things due to my Add.
This time I have to repay a huge sum of money to Tax credits due to not having my accounts done soon enough to give them
the figures they needed so I could continue my claim.
They asked for a good income estimate but I had absolutely no idea! so they'd told me to get my income figure to them
as soon as possible. I'd told them it wouldn't be until jan 16 soonest, they just said get them in asap.
Now I have this huge re-payment demand.
I'm particularly gutted because it took me months just to get myself organised enough to get the much needed tax credits in
the first place!
Now I have to do it all over again and make a new claim in the hope it will be enough to cover the re-payments.
There is the option of disputing if the reason for not re-applying sooner is good enough and I believe people with some
mental health/neurological disorders can be granted more time for filling forms.
I wondered if having ADD/ADHD along with a doctors note might afford me some grace - Does anyone know if that might
be the case or have any personal experience or knowledge about my situation or similar - because I'm frequently in trouble
as a result of not getting things done in time and seem to be perpetually paying fines as a result -
This keeps happening despite my very very best intentions not to get into these messes.
It's pretty depressing that I always seem to end up in these scenarios no matter how determined I am that i won't allow it
to happen again.
Thanks for reading, any advice you can give is really appreciated
