Hello ! I had a great day was fantastic to listen to all the opinions and loved the debates.
Really interesting characters events like that need to happen more often for me I found it so beneficial to share what it's like on a day to day basis and be able to laugh with someone who just "gets it"
For me the highlight was being in the wrong work shop and midway saying hey guys ..... Wrong workshop and receiving a round of applause and not a bollocking for "not paying attention' you guys get it !
Let's arrange another ! Shelly !

You find your biscuits in the cupboard under the sink
You run around looking for your hairbrush when it's in your hand
You can't just stand there and brush your teeth at the sink and stay standing in front of the sink
You never empty a washing machine in one sweep you do it in dribs and drabs start hanging it then go back and think oops ...
When you junk cupboard is so full with shit it has and old item of clothing wedging the door closed to stop it bursting all over the floor .......
When you sit in a conference and are bored within ten seconds and realise you need something to play with or Start counting the crystals in the chandeliers on the ceiling well attempt to .......until another thought comes rushing in
You listen to people taking in meetings and wonder how they stay so on track when you actually are not listening and panic that you haven't taken any notes ....... Ar was boring anyway
When you wonder How everyone else gets their shit done so quickly ?
You honestly don't know what you have done for the past five hours as your house is still as mess but you been busy ....... And not even started dinner
You stress about work and what's not done ......
You went to bed three hours ago and still awake .........
Sound familiar guys ?

Hey so I have worked at my company since May 2015 was made perm in October. My team have always known I have ADHD I'm not treated any differently and always make jokes etc and not offended with the light hearted humour in my office however ..... Workload has increased due to the time of year and will be expected to continue until April. This is something that we all knew was coming however I'm contracted to work 37 hours a week and last week I worked 46. As did everyone else. Now here is the problem.
My team are all hardworking and committed as an I however my medication last 7 hours and I literally cannot function anymore. I cannot endure 12 hour days with a journey home of an hour.
How do I approach this ? I'm afraid that people with think I'm using my ADHD as an excuse but this aside no one has mentioned toil or overtime pay. It's not about the money it's just the times when I'm able to be productive. If I say I cannot endure the long days - this is going to make me look like I'm not committed and not a team player !
In reality though it's not an excuse -
I will be happy to change my hours to suit them but literally cannot work more than 8 hours
How would you approach this ? Could they say I'm not suited to my role ? Could this be covered by occupational health ? Help please guys
