The centre is closed but has re-opened across the road in Eglinton Avenue. Its now called ADD-NI. NI-ADD closed due the lack of funding from the Belfast Health & Social Care Trust. Check out the Facebook Page of GIFTED (ADHD UK). There are a few people from Northern Ireland of that site. Thanks for the post always keen for info on NI Services the new service you mention seems to be just for children as per their website home page.

yes i am a forty four year old and am just starting down the road of first appointment with gp on Friday i fit nearly all of the symptoms lists from us and nhs i have a family of 5 2 of them are in there 20s i have a good job and am really really frightened of going into the mental health system in ni as i have seen some of the stigmas and attitudes even of staff when my wife had a breakdown several years ago she is fine now and back at work but it was scary. so when i read some of the nightmare attitudes on the threads especially in London i am really frightened. I have just been through my initial assessment through the Northern Trust - not good! keep with it this site is very helpful feel free to contact me for any info im keen to swap experiences with any fellow northern ireland sufferers

Please be aware that the Nice Guidance for ADHD is EXPECTED to be implemented by your GP according to the Department for Health (NI) www.dhsspsni.gov.uk/hsc_18-09_cg72.pdf This is the guidance document for your treatment here basically it states they are to follow NICEs recommendations!

Hi and thanks for your response. I had been checking for ages and then given up!
How did you get on with your GP ? I went to mine back in November and he told me the condition did not exist. I cant face going back yet, I hope you got on better.
