Just tried to read IM not lazy crzy stupid. I found myself skipping huge chunks and even tho I finished the book it was to me overwhelming. HOw can the authors who have adhd themselves write a informative book and then forget that most of us find it a struggle to read it.
My thoughts are im not going to attempt to read this again unless on meds. IS there anybook out there that is not 100s of pages long that jumps from a to b and that i might actually read it properly.
I was dissapointed with this book and wouldnt recommend it
Ive got Driven to Distraction on its way to me so will see how that goes
And if anyone else has read this I would aprreciate your take on this

giddy have you rang the conusmer credit service they are very good
how i got out of debt two years ago was to declare myself bankrupt it only cost me 100 quid and was able to do it under the lila scheme in scotland. Told my therapist about it last week i said to her it was to easy and could see why there would be poeple that would do it every few years

Just watched a young woman on sky news describing her adhd. The presenter kept going on about how it affected her childhood but she managed to get in that she was infact not diagnosed till she was 18 and that it still affects her. Whilst we all are probably grateful about the discovered link between genetics and adhd, all the coverage ive seen today is how it affects children but this woman managed to convey that it still afftects her in adult hood

sorry is it Filton college this is what it through up in the disablities section Our aim is equality for students with a disability. We take practical steps to assist and advise disabled students, including those with Special Educational Needs.
If you have a disability or learning difficulty, let us know before you enrol so that we can put support in place for you as soon as you start your course. Ways in which we can support you:
* We can support you in the classroom with staff trained to help with the specific disabilities * We can provide specialist equipment to help you study (e.g. loop systems) * We train our staff to be aware of the needs of students with disabilities * We can provide one-to-one confidential counselling or advocacy * We can liaise with agencies with whom you are already in contact to ensure that you get the support you need * We can assess you for special support and procedures for examinations

if he has adhd/asd he is surely covered by the disibilty act and the college should be making reasonable adjustments is he claiming disabled student allowance as that could pay for help for him

I tend to feel that some boards other than the lounge could suefully be private. Eg College/Career/Work/Personal Relationship Issues. The lounge is a littel bit of a catch all. I don't give my real name, but I do say roughly where I live. And if I were to start talking about some of my isseus then someone close to me might be able to put 2 and 2 together. thanks random you put it alot better than me
