That's bad news Roland. Funny though cos a similar thing happened to me week before last, 2 cars had a collision outside my house and also hit my car. They knocked and told me though (surprised I didn't hear it). Consequently I'm driving around at the moment in a brand new automatic Freelander, top of the range! When I hit a wall at the beginning of the year and it was my fault, all I got was a poxy tiny thing like a Uno, but because I wasn't at fault I get this amazing car. Wish it would happen more often!!! But that's very bad news that they didn't do the same for you. Don't you live in village? You should go and have a look at all the cars to see if they're damaged, it was probably someone passing through though.
Actually, you should considere Private Detective for your next career change. I've always fancied that myself, but you get to the bottom of everything, if you don't get to the bottom of this, it'll be cos its an impossible task!

I think that with me, I am anxious and its because I've got ADHD. ADHD can't be brought on by anything, I've always had it. I think us ADHDers drink because without realising it we're self medicating. I drink for a number of reasons, it helps me sleep, relieves boredom etc. I know that drinking is not good and does cause problems, whether drinking causes anxiety, I don't know, but I'm sure it doesn't help!

Its funny cos I'm still a geek and I still love code! Recently learned HTML and have already taught a course on it and am now learning XML as well as studing for MCDST qualification (Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) so I can train that too. Its all about Windows and I love it. Can't stop reading the manual (have to make the most of it til I get bored, but hopefully I won't!)

I've given up worrying about whether I understand the plot fully or not - got to the point where I just accept that I will usually have failed to pick up on the 'clues' and so just carrry on watching.
Oh Mouse that is so me. Its a standing joke amongst my friends that I'm a nightmare to watch a film with and I have to keep getting them to pause it so I can ask questions! I prefer to watch on my own so I can rewind if I've missed a bit etc. I recently went to the cinema to see Mamma Mia and was really worried about seeing it but I shouldn't've worried cos it was fab and I could've sat there for another hour.

"If that happens you can sell it to me for half price!!!" I may be contacting you with a bargain in November......... Also, Mouse's comment about computers while she was growing up. I had a ZX Spectrum which I thought was the height of modern technology in 1984. Imagine these days having to load a computer game via a cassette player (remember them!) which made screechy noises for 15 minutes! The kids of today wouldn't have any of that! I can beat that. I had a ZX81 and initially I didn't have it connected to a tape recorder so I had to buy magazines and spend hours typing in the game programs in code in order to play a game, and of course by the time you'd finished there would be mistakes in it so you had to spend hours finding the mistake! I think I probably enjoyed that more than the games!!! lol Saddo geek! (me that is!)

That's what I'm quite worried about actually. I have visions of myself playing until 3am before I realise what time it is. Or, I'll play solidly with it then just get completely bored after a few months. lol If that happens you can sell it to me for half price!!! That's what I'm like with everything.

I don't think they're bad as long as you don't spend your whole life on them! Amazing how we can very easily hyper focus on them isn't it?

It's the emptying of the head I find impossible, it's like don't think of anything, I mean I say "dont think of the blue elephant" what you thinking about? but think of nothing, wats that? a white space? then im thinkin 'im thinkin of a white space, is that nothing then? or a white space? By then everything I've ever thought of comes crashing through my mind I suffer overload and have to pass out, like my brain is screaming "OVERLOAD OVERLOAD!" Thenn I get anxious, upset and depressed and think 'what the hell is wrong wiv me?' I must be doing it wrong, right? Wrong? right? which is it? AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :'/ I'm exactly the same Asha, I cannot empty my mind and end up getting very frustrated.

But though, how frustrating is it to get to grips with new mobile phones? Manuals. How complicated are they? Talk about reading and then re-reading. Seriously Leon, didn't you see me on This Morning?? I LOVE manuals, and I wasn't kidding, to me that's one of the best things about getting a mobile phone, working my way through the manual!! Except they're crap these days and don't give you all the info, you have to hunt for it on the net!!

I've got the N95 8gb. I love it. Wasn't that interested in the iphone, especially as I'm not that bothered about the music. I have it on 3 contract, been with them for years, best value by far (and believe me I did my research - again!!). Anyway, unlimited internet access too, just been setting up my gmail account on it. But this forum is exactly the same as it is on here, need to scroll a bit obviously, but fab!! PS - Mine was free too! Even better!

Grrrrr I'm so angry tonight I could cry. My beautiful little boy has chicken pox and has been looking forward to seeing his Daddy all week (hardly ever sees him these days). But his dad is refusing to see him now because he is ill!! He has never seen him when he is ill. He is sooooooo SELFISH!!! Can't he think about my beautiful son instead of himself for a change?? I find it so, so hard to control my anger sometimes. Anbody got any good methods?

If you click on the button saying [new] (in the threads window) it will take you to the first message you haven't seen before. This sounds fairly close to what pinkbeauty wants. Ever since you posted this, I've been looking for what you meant. But I've just found it!! And I didn't know you could do it, so thank you. Actually that really helps me cos it drives me mad scrolling through!!!! ;D

Does anyone with hyperactivity EVER slow down at speed bumps? I damaged a car once by going over them too fast.

Yes, I do view the new posts on their own but what I meant was, when you actually open a thread, to read it through, I just think it makes more sense to have it in reverse order. But, it might not make sense to everyone!! Just the way my mind works!! Especially if the thread has several pages, I know you can click on the last page and view it, but I think the latest page should show up first. Its not just this forum, I've always thought this on every forum I've ever been on and never seen it in reverse order so maybe it can't happen.

What always surprises me on forums is that when you click on the thread to read the latest post, you always start at the beginning and have to scroll to the end. Obviously this is helpful if you are reading the thread for the first time and want to read it in order, but I would have thought it would make more sense that the older messages were at the bottom and more recent ones at the top. Am I the only one who thinks this?

If its a Nokia it probably will (dropped one down the toilet when I was pregnant). Take it apart as much as possible and leave it for a day or so. Mind you my Sony got dunked (can't remember how or when right now) and it has affected the battery life.

Hi Mouse, have you had any luck with this? If not, do what I do, e:mail Watchdog!
I can't cope with hanging on the end of the phone, I get angrier and angrier so by the time I eventually get to speak to someone I'm in a right mood and the poor person on the other end feels my wrath and we end up having a row etc etc and nothing gets resolved because they probably cut me off! (Hasn't had to happen for a while thank goodness!)

Karma?

The thing that I don't get about it is that you can't see who's given you karma and for which post, it would be especially useful if you could see which post.
