a 'thing' is a single item ie piece of rubbish, paper, someting that goes in the recycling bin or basically anything you don't need thats not in good enough condition to give away but if like bunch sweet wrappers then that counts as 1 thing but piece of paper could be 1 thing - get it? L.B. - Who told you you're a lovely person?? ;D ;D I think we need the moderator in here !! - - - i'm being discriminated against !! (note to moderator : she knows i can't do maths ) ----- and can't get my double points cos scrap man not open by time i came in and saw post - - - - that only leaves tomorrow cos saturday is rugby day (for real this week) and i'm out working all day tomorrow How can i secure my supremacy under these unfair conditions?? P.S. kitchen nearly finished with (very) little help from darling daughter who by the way has been in a coma all day after 1 shift in the world of work!!! and didn't make it to college today or even out of bed till 5(pm) !!! and in the (constant words) of darling daughter - Que whiney voice) ------iv'e got adhd your supposed to use a carrot not a stick !!! p.s AND I'VE ALREADY DONE TOMORROWS 27/27 AS WELL AS THE 54/54 DONE THIS MORNING!!! i know i'm welsh - but what more can a merched do in one day!!! ;D

welcome on board C hopper there's lovely little (add friendly) quote on the bottom of the fly lady web site says; 'You are not behind i don't want you to catch up; i just want you to jump in where you are. o.k.' --- sweet in it - but their not competing on there - we are ;D so bring it on ;D -------saying that i'm slowly losing my supremacy 0 points yesterday - - - but if the task master will allow it ? in true add form i plan to do 54/54 today ;D and make up for yesterday!! (my add was rampant yesterday after the debarcle (can't spell it) of getting darling daughter off to work experience ened up running late for an appointment myself! got a cab - in the cab realised had forgotten letter with address had to ring 118118 for number of place ( £1.60 something a minute as had to be put through cos couldn't remember the number when they told me it!) - got bloody answering machine!! - then met a post man who directed me but forgot what he said and ended up walking about mile down the right road - in the wrong direction I can literaly get lost in a phone box - - - and realised the weird gait i had developed was because i had ODD boots on - (one with a heel, one flat!!) -- - - should of read my own post on the 5 essential - - - (note to self add check feet before leaving house to my list! ) lets see what joys today brings ;D eventually found the place

Apologies if this has been done before I've only been on here since January and only recently realized have a.d.h.d. looking at the review about ' fast minds on' here but don't want to buy (another) expensive book that wont get to the end of Thought lets go for easy option - and get first hand experience - all in one place. Would be great if you could all give your input thanks in advance Here's mine : 1. Make it a rule that I have to eat breakfast either porridge (as supposed to have calming effect as well as slow release energy) or oat (gluten/wheat free ) snack if rushing 2. Count essential things need every day and remember the number to help me check in my head as going out the door 7 in winter (keys, phone, oyster, purse, lighter, glasses, list for things to do in day ie phone calls etc (have started doing that on phone now and reminder alertsnow i am am getting into technology.) pref done night before. 8 in summer as have to have sun glasses. 3. post it note on door to remind me about anything specific need for that particular day. 4. don't eat wheat or white sugar and only have 1 coffee which has to be before 1 and 2 teas a day .(find they all contribute to stomach problems and make me irritable -mood wise) no caffine after 5. 5. eat something small every 3 or 4 hours (carry snacks around that are easy to just eat - no preperation (i eat naked bars) helps stop me getting (more) anxious Lot of mine are around food - as I can literally forget to eat (and just smoke) and then there's no chance of controlling my mind as i end up knackered and anxious and everything starts to go wrong. looking forward to reading yours

;D aaaah you going soft L.B. de-cluttering I can do think thats the answer kathymel - live in a small space - I used to be well tidy in my tent when we went camping. darling daughter seems to be turning over a new leaf at mo there may be a (slight chance) she's becoming a fly baby she sorted her room last night and has dumped huge pile of clothes that she doesn't want on the landing - and made the excuse that she's just trying to help by giving me 27 things to dump (she's ace on technicalities!) I've let her off as she's got her first day work experience at a nursery today and got herself up and ready (on time) this morning got her a cab to make sure - then forgot the address, lost the letter with address so while driver searching up and down very long road i'm busy trying find place on net and then he had come back as forgot to give her the money and thats us when we're organized the joys of living with a.d.h.d ;D off to 27/27 can't lose my dame title as well

oh my god - you are joking yeah!? binning and giving away is one thing but that! (above) - --- think I should tell the world - I don't think describing myself as 'domestic godess' is exactly accurate !! Maybe Dame of de-cluttering? now am starting to feel better and getting back to normal as the meds kicking in realise have been in complete world of my own the past week. do you know what i mean - like completely living in my head. the infection really dragged me down and now realise that was quite unwell for few weeks really was so knackered all the time and found just putting one foot in front of the other really hard work. consequence of that - instead of going to doctors - constantly beating myself up thinking am useless pathetic lazy etc - this has been my constant internal dialogue! thought it was my s.a.d. getting worse as week was so dark BUT completely focuded on the 27/27 like nothing else in the world mattered! ;D consequently - although got rid of loads junk and things : havn't washed a dish all week - so everything is dirty strewn all around my kitchen (had to get take away sunday night and eat it out of plastic container with plastic fork that came with it! and re heat what was left yesterday. Havn't done ANY laundry - don't have one single item of clean clothing left - piles of laundry, dirty towels every where! (darling daughter not happy) Havn't sorted paperwork stuff - god knows what i've forgot i'm supposed to be doing/going/paying!! Also as was ill my mind slowed down a lot - its back to buzzing all over the place again now! If health and safety came around they would close me down!! so thats my confession though thinking about it your challenge could be helpful - Lets see what i can do ;D

(the maths thing doesn't bother me ;D )

hey (hi by the way) you say you wanted to find out more about adhd - meaning actually i assume 'understanding the people ' that have it and how we work - well maybe, do you think, thats kinda just whats happened?
Its much more difficult to interact with people on screen than face to face obviously - but one of our symtoms is jumping in feet first when we feel attacked (remember feelings are not facts but we don't always realise that at the time )
Also i think i remember you saying your a dad - well at the risk of sounding like a know all here (or a perfect parent) i dont think there should ever be a time where we can't apologise for something we have said or done as that ends up implying we are 'bad' rather than what we did was not the best we could of - have always told my daughter that - the behaviour was what i didn't like not her - we all make mistakes and if something is unforgiveable there's no hope for any of us
love and let live eh! (both of you) todays a new day

Have been where am now 14 years - would of moved if I could but needed to be in same place for daughters school and different services have been accessing for her. Am hoping she'l grow up and move out soon (what terrible mum I am!) she's nearly 19 (but its not looking lilely ) I suffer with s.a.d. as well as add and can't bear the thought of another winter here want to go somewhere sunny next winter for def. Anyone got any ideas? I have no formal qualifications and am getting on a bit so would need to be some sort of age appropriate work if know what I mean ie not behind bar in a club till early hours - but i'm not frightened of hard days graft!

oh god don't encourage me to buy another indoor excercise gadget - i'm in process of trying to get around to getting rid of 3 huge ones that had for years and never use and they take up soooo much room! agree though cycling is amazing feeling and great treatment for the brain. trouble is i live in london and my anxiety wont let me cycle on the roads - too dangerous! got stopped by copper when olympics was on in the summer cos was on pavement - nearly gave me a £30 fine but i exagerrated my welsh accent and made out was a tourist and didn't know (which i really didn't - that its against the law!) and he let me off, has put me off since
