Does anyone else find themselves out of control while drunk? Oh yes! Half a dozen court appearances Many, many visits to A&E Ridiculously inappropriate behaviour toward just about everyone and everything A mouth that just will not close ...and a devilish sense of merriment! I don't drink much anymore these days

I dont hate him and dont want to, i would rather get out now, and be friends. That sounds like a good course of action...far better than enduring undeserved abuse and bullying

.....I just want an 'extra' something to reflect that it is not mild.... If you want something to sound "extra" all you have to do is prefix it with extreme,or end it with "to the max". On a vaguely serious note, some reference to "stimulus overload dysphoria" and "organisational function failure" ...plus,you'd get a great acronym to shout at nt's who ask what's wrong! (Disclaimer: i only said vaguely serious!)

Dogs and animals have always helped me make some sense out of life - or at least alleviate the stresses. Probably why I eventually stopped eating meat Aye,dogs have a much simpler outlook on life,,,,,,everything is brilliant! ...unless it's shit,in which case it will be brilliant again any minute now! Instant forgiveness and the ability to let go of the past almost instantaneously it's a dog's life!

Any quilt that calls itself a duvet obviously has delusions of grandeur, and should not be trusted.
...and yes,i get severely lucid hallucinations when i get a high temp...more intense than some of the "reacreationally" self-inflicted ones from yesteryear...and made much worse by the addition of certain non-drowsy cold and flu remedies.
I've had a cold over this xmas as it goes, and fought it off with codeine and overeating...much less "trippy"

Sore head this morning grim lol Not as bad as I expected, pint or two of water and ibuprofen on the way to bed ...and I am told I quite enjoyed myself, rather noisily at times...and apparently I am irritatingly accurate with a toy catapult and a playful of sausage rolls (I'm not being very grim of late )

Merry Christmas you lot! ...and thanks, you've been info, support, company, and "just here“ for the last year or so...more so than you may realise. Right, now I've got that off my chest,I will indulge myself in a festive orgy of sausage rolls and Stella artois.

Not going to lie - I love christmas... Me too! like the look on my kids faces Me too again! I also like the whole "normal rules do not apply" of the holiday. (e.g.I don't drink very much or very often, but around Christmas you may well find me drinking Stella with my breakfast...breakfast being twiglets and after eights!) Bring it on!

We have a 22 week old German Shepherd pup,so we have put our tree in a corner with a carefully arranged "barrier" of coffee table, armchair, and large cushions...and lots of supervision.
Fortunately chasing our 5 year old Jack Russell around is far more interesting than attacking the tree, apparently.

it gets better.
things I have learnt:
protein in the morning makes it work better (I have protein shakes for breakfast)
eating and drinking little and often helps avoid the nausea and the headaches
at the right dose the side effects are mimimal

The highlight was Parents' Night at my daughter's new school, where I found out that all her teachers knew about her ADHD and dyslexia and were interested in understanding more abouthow they affected her and how best to teach her. Awesome. Blimey, that is something to celebrate! That is a:Definitely awesome and b:Definitely something to celebrate.

Sooooo...returning to the 'headline' theme of this thread, I'm planning for today to be a good day, too. Did you have a good day? Mine was ok.Not quite good, but a long way from bad. But for once,at least,it was mostly outside influences that made today a bit of a chore

You owe him nothing. It is not your job to fix him. Precisely! What you describe sounds like the behaviour of a manipulative bully hiding behind "mental health issues". If it's like this at only 4 months in what is it going to be like after 1 year,or 2 or more? What about when punching doors and walls gets boring, what will he be punching then? I know i sound harsh, and i will not apologise for that. You are in a potentially very dangerous situation, which you need to evaluate without letting emotion cloud your judgement. From your post alone i am concerned for your welfare.

Just wanted to share an unusually awesome 24hrs with you. Went to see my very favourite ever band play live last night.Been very into them since i first heard them in 1981,and haven't seen them live since the 90's I'd forgotten just how powerful and profund an effect seeing them live can have on me. I have had a wonderful day,my mood has been just the right amount of up...and the concerta has been spot on So i'm not worrying about tomorrow just yet... Today is a good day. (points if you can guess who the band are,big hint in the thread title )

The big hospital near me has got lines to A&E,X-Ray,the fracture clinic, and outpatients.(red, blue, black, and yellow)
Oddly enough they are the departments i visit most.
...now if i can just get a line painted from my house to the hospital...

I've just re-read through the slide show - it makes so much sense and rings true - but I don't seem to be able to remember this kind of information in my day to day life when I'm having adhd type struggles. I revert back to thinking I'm just doing/ am rubbish. I don't know why this is? Maybe I don't have a good enough understanding of adhd yet?Maybe it's a conditioned response? If you have thought you were "just/am rubbish" for years and years it's going to take quite a leap of faith to allow yourself to accept fully that it isn't the case.
